Big M USAC XC Race 7/12

Jen made the long haul to Big M and raced to 6th place in Sport Women 25-39, shaving 3 minutes off her 2008 time and putting her in 2nd place overall in the Tailwind USAC Series!

Dark Horse Reunion!

Gabby, Andrea, Lynda, former Dark Horse Girl Erin (who will always be a Dark Horse girl to us), and future Dark Horse Girl Jackie met up at Maybury recently for a group ride. The trail was in perfect shape and just like old times, we chased Erin around for some singletrack fun! We all adjourned to Deadwood for some important refueling and catching up after!



I guess training rides CAN be fun!!!

Two Podium Spots at the Ruby USAC XC Race 6/14

Congrats to Jen and Beth Ann who both grabbed podium spots at the Ruby Campground XC race last weekend! That course is always fun, and the river crossings make for some entertaining spectating!

Jen raced to 1st Place in Sport Women 25-39 and Beth Ann, the only female singlespeeder in her class, edged by some guys to snag 5th place in Sport/Beginner Singlespeed.

Way to go, Ladies!!!

USAC Brighton Stage Race 5/30 & 5/31

3 Dark Horse Girls headed to Brighton Recreation Area the weekend of 5/30 and 5/31 for the USAC Stage Race. The format consisted of a Time Trial and Short Track race on Saturday, and a classic Cross Country race on Sunday. Lowest combined time determined placings. The weather was great, and some of our teammies currently on the injured reserve list showed up to cheer us on!!!

Memorial Day Fun!

On a sunny Sunday before Memorial day, Andrea, Jody & I headed out to Ft. Custer to take advantage of a long 3 day weekend. We got 17 miles in and had ear to ear grins the whole ride. Custer is AWESOME fun!









And a stop at Dark Horse Brewery for proper refueling after made for a great day!

A friend of ours organizes an annual big group ride from Ferndale to Detroit and back every year, with lots of sight seeing in between. It was the 6th annual this year, and Andrea & I were able to attend. No better way to see the sights than on a bike! We got in 37 miles and had tons of fun!
