Dark Horse in the D!

A friend of ours organizes an annual big group ride from Ferndale to Detroit and back every year, with lots of sight seeing in between. It was the 6th annual this year, and Andrea & I were able to attend. No better way to see the sights than on a bike! We got in 37 miles and had tons of fun!

Pontiac Lake TT

Despite monsoon like conditions on Saturday, Jen and Beth Ann both made the trip to Pontiac Lake for Tailwinds first race of the season. Sunday's weather was sunny and fine, and Dark Horse tore up the course. Jen got 3rd in Sport Women 25-39 and Beth Ann got 10th in Singlespeed Sport/Beginner.

What a way to start the season!

4 Dark Horse Girls made the trek to the Yankee TT on 4/19/09 for the first race of the 2009 season and what a way to kick it off with 3 podium finishes! Here's the results:

Janet Grimm - 1st place Sport Women 40+
Gabby Bruno - 2nd place Sport Women 30-39
Melissa Fritz - 3rd place Sport Women 30-39
Beth Ann Trollman - 19th place Sport/Beginner Singlespeed (beating 8 guys!)

Dark Horse hits Rays Indoor MTB Park in 2009

Andrea & I headed down to Ray's MTB Park in Cleveland for some fun & adventure on March 28. It just so happened it was Giant Bikes demo day, and once they found out we were on a mountain bike team sponsored by Giant, they gave us some awesome demo bikes, a Trance and a Cypher, to play on all day! Sweet!





Andrea left a little part of herself somewhere on the outer loop....
